...into the coffee county!

Needed a break badly, so went for a short trip to Chikmagalur, the land famous for coffee. Although, it became a little hectic for me, all the way traveling from Kolkata to Bangalore and then to Chikmagalur on road, but it was worth everything. Wow!

This was a wonderful treat at the end of a trek early morning...

...and coffee beans. Trip to Chikmagalur is useless if you don't see these beautiful little coffee berries!

Nature in abundance...serene and beautiful.

And when your trip ends with some breathtaking sunset views...you feel rejuvenated. Here I am, back to routine, but with a mind freshened up and ready to move on.

Working on a 'Subh Labh' painting...hopefully, will be able to post in a week. Till then, stay happy!

Jai Jagannath

The idea of painting this form of Vishnu had always been there in my mind and I wanted to include the entire trio of Jagannath, brother Balabhadra deva and sister devi Subhadra in one canvas...and here it is!

This face of Jagannath actually caught my eye when I saw it at the back glass of a car (I don't know what this back glass of a car called...) and I wanted to paint! This is also the first time I tried paints on a canvas...I loved it!

Need your reviews on this!!!

Posting...just a little late! :(

Yes, I'm pretty late...I should have and had actually planned for the second posting long time back...to celebrate Janmashtami (the birth anniversary of one of the most popular and favorite God in Hinduism). But then, fate had something else for me...I wasn't well (yes, I was down with jaundice) and was literally out of touch with the virtual world (no internet, no computing...only rest, rest and rest! BORING!!!).

I wanted to paint Lord Krishna and was looking for a subject than can inspire my Krishna...when I unearthed this beautiful Radha-Krishna statue at home!

Radha-Krishna

This is a Radha-Krishna statue made of wood that I had collected from a mela (fair) last year...
  Finally, I found my inspiration....

Welcome to 'hued'!

So, here I am, with my first blog post- I'm a little nervous (whether it will be appreciated or not), but a lot more excited (finally I'm doing it!). I have been contemplating on this for a long time; in double minds whether to share with you all, something I learnt to do since my A B C days and something I have been in love with, since God knows when- ART!

Finally, here is 'hued'- my colored world which will be the mirror of my thoughts in canvas and colors.

Thank you for stopping by and wish you happy reading!

Love, Sanjukta
